Autumn Whimsy: A Styled Photoshoot at The Chateaux at Fox Meadows
Ah, fall. I don't know about you, but after an extremely hot and dry summer in Colorado, I am so ready for a new season. Summer is a booked and busy stretch in the wedding industry, and while fall is also full, it just feels more calm. Maybe it's that little gust of cool air, the leaves rustling as you line up for your rehearsal. The grounding colors of the season create a cozy space, no matter the forecast. Plum, maroon, rust, sage, ivory, chocolate... your surroundings just feel like a big hug.
What better way to celebrate the start of autumn than to gather a few of my absolute favorite people for a fall-forward, whimsical, and beautiful photoshoot?
I can't wait to get into the details of this gorgeous space and tell you about each vendor who brought it to life. Before I get too far, let me introduce myself.
Planning & Design: Bride Events
I'm Kayla, the owner and coodinator of Bride Events: intentional, calm wedding planning based in Broomfield, Colorado. My expertise is in wedding planning and coordination, so my contribution to this project was the overall vision, feeling, and style of the space. I hand-selected the linens, colors, tableware, seating, and inspiration images. Plucked straight from my pin board collection and brought to life with the help of some very good friends! An eldest daughter's dream! I can't wait for you to see more.
Venue: The Chateaux at Fox Meadows
The Chateaux is a stunning and professional wedding venue nestled in the suburbs of Broomfield, Colorado. It's family owned and operated, with three siblings at the heart of the venue. Since 1998, this space has been a canvas for thousands of weddings and events, allowing each couple to create the event they imagine. They also have so many extras, like this unique vintage car and a champagne wall you can add on. The draping and lighting you see? Included. Gorgeous cellar? Cozy AF. Wedding of your dreams? Priceless.
Rentals: Event Rents Denver
Wowie this company is top notch! From the first interaction, you'll experience quick response times, organization, and inspiration. Your contact will stay connected and help you dream up what's possible for your event. In this case, I needed show stopping linens. Enter velvet leaf. Pretty, unique, AND affordable. All of the linens arrive pressed and hung. The silverware was polished to a shine. Everything is packaged so it transports so easily and arrives perfect. In these photos, you'll see their velvet leaf linens, panama celery linens, dinnerware, glassware, and silverware. And let's not forget the elegant bentwood chairs. These beautiful rentals complimented the space and the olive french toile tablecloths purchased from CV Linens.

If you're planning a photoshoot, event, headshots, or other photos... you've got to chat with Brenda. Born and raised in Colorado, she's got over 20 years of professional photography experience. But why am I telling you when you can SEE this expertise with your own eyes? Her images and crisp, colorful, and creative. When final touches are added in editing, you won't believe how good you look. Her meticulous attention to detail brings any setting and subject to life. Having worked with her for countless weddings (including my own!), there is no one I'd rather have at my side for an event, and to share the most gorgeous galleries afterward!
Floral Design: Bloom Room
You see that literal GARDEN that was assembled on the tables? Straight from the creative mind of Sarah from the Bloom Room. Not only does she make luxurious arrangements that feel straight out of a magazine, but she makes you feel heard and included in the process. I'm convinced I could send her any floral inspiration I could dream up, and she could make it reality. Her arrangements include a great variety of shapes, sizes, styles... AND a wide assortment of flower types. If you look closely, there's even a vegetable used in these centerpieces!
Cake: Miette Et Chocolat
Luckily for all of us, this bakery has a storefront! A French patisserie that offers everything from traditional bites and pastries to beautiful and tasty wedding cakes. Their truffles make amazing wedding favors, too! You'll fall in love with the variety and eye-catching designs they offer. The cakes are moist, perfectly layered, and decorated to perfection. And your event staff will thank you when it's time to cut and serve, becuase this cake is dense enough to hold up to slicing! Taste their treats for yourself, but be warned, nothing else will taste this good.
Models: Harley & Ben
Meet the happy couple! It's not every day that your "bride and groom" are engaged IRL! These two plan to tie the knot in Estes Park next September. Harley has years of dance team experience that made her a natural in front of the camera. Ben is not used to being the subject of a photo, but man did he hide it well! Their chemistry was palpable and so fun to bring to this stylized shoot. The authenticity shines through these images, and serves as an early-engagement photoshoot for these newly engaged cuties!
